Supriya "Kamal jhali tujhi"

No I dont know how happy You where when I was born
Neither do I remember how much You pampered me when I was young
But I know I enjoyed the bedtime stories
I loved spending the evenings with You
I enjoyed the time I spent arranging the toys before You came home!

We never talk much but we communicate more
I am surprised how You understand me without exchanging a word
I don't know how You figure out what's on my mind
When I am myself doubtful about my own decisions How do You know I am right!

I regret and feel sorry for
not being there on your 50th birthday
disappointing you by my under performance
hurting you with the failures I had
the times that you needed me and I wasn't there!

I feel blessed and luckiest when You
give me the freedom the space I need
stand by my decisons
ask me to learn say 'no'
say something which I thought of but never told!

The mornings You wake me up
The times when You take my side
The outings we go for
The time we spend
Are the best and most treasured moments I have!

I love the times
When I am with you
When you say "Supriya kamal jhali tujhi"
When someone refers me as 'Your Daughter'
And today when I say
You are the best I mean it Papa I mean each and every word I said
Your daughter Loves and Respects you the most!

Happy Father's Day!

For someone special...

This is the very first poem that I have read and appreciated as a poem in its true sense, this was published in the Children's Digest long long ago when I was a kid in school.

Second by Second a Minute ends

Minute by Minute a Hour ends

Hour by Hour a Day ends

Day by Day a Week ends

Week by Week a Month ends

Month by Month a Year ends

Year by Year a Decade ends

Decade by Decade a century ends

But my Love for my Mother never ends...

I remember after reading this poem I ran straight to my Mom and said "Mom read this one, its very nice"(With a very broad smile on my face) How, innocent(dumb actually) I was that, I wanted someone who herself is a poet, to appreciate the poem and the eternal happiness that reading such a thing brings!

Love you Mom,

  Happy Mother's Day!!!

P.S: My first photo upload on this blog...:) \m/

fun filled family...

family meetings are always fun...
the best of those ...was the one when we had gathered for my aunt's 50th b'day n my uncle's 61st...
i guess all my cousins and the family as a whole was together for 3-4 days!!!
this family meet was special coz inspite of a major plan flop show...we had hell lot of fun!!!!
right from playing fire in the mountain to the silliest card game(bhikar-savkar) we played everything...(unfortunately did not know hi-jack then..)...we played cards for the whole night...!!!
even had excellent time on beach...aaahhh i treasure those days!!

family gatherings are always fun...they are just filled with laughter...lots of card games and quality time with everyone in the family...
though plans don't workout often...there's no reason we stop having or have less of fun...!

now eagerly waiting for the ganpati's....its a fun season to experience..right from the preparations...to the chanting of the aarti...and screaming on the top of the voice.."ganpati bappa morya"....completely filled with enthusiasm...its the time you definitely cant afford missing....

with limited family gatherings happening each year... on top of it you tend to miss a few of them... let me tell one thing...learn't it a hard way...it really hurts to miss those...and you really feel.....y? i had to miss it...

its truly khedkar mania that rules!!!
