relationships..interactions..generalizations..

quite recently have engaged myself in reading blogs...mostly posted by my friends!!! thought that should give it a try...though not sure will continue...????

i always thought of relationships as something unique..as in any relationship u talk of...the ppl involved, the duo or the trio involved are mutually exclusive... what i mean here is the image of the person u r in relationship with...is an exclusive set of characters that u define for yourself based on the experience and interaction with that person....u also tend to improve upon those characters or add on to the existing ones.... this is a dynamic process!!!

according to me ... or rather i enjoy keeping this interactions (with all those whom i have met till date) exclusive...!but what i observe today and it also does seem to happen is that, things like blog or scrapping on orkut or even if u take testimonials for that matter, make the whole thing quite generalized...

i mean i don't like judging a person or being conclusive enough on certain characters based on someone Else's views or experiences or interactions with that person...and watever u say but once u come across a certain feature abt a person frm someone else...there is bound to be a bias abt it...

...here i m writing this blog...this may seem to b a very complex or rather pretty faltu thought to some... i personally wont like to discuss this with althose whom i know are not intrested in such discussions...but still here i m generalizing !!!
n i hate doing that...

  1. Nice to see that you too have started this process...well ur thoughts are little complex but thats perfectly fine...Its not neccessary that u make everyone understand what u think...this is a place where you would put ur views based on interactions with this world and so do hell with people who think that ur thinking is weird...u express urself openly without bothering!!!!!
About ur bolg what i understood il say.Basically ur trying to say that judgement of a person whom you meet shouldnt be biased, considering the fact that since one hasnt met or interacted with that person, generalising about him/her is not acceptable to you...i hope i didnt confuse you with my language..anyways great going..keep bloggin!!!!

  2. Welcome to the Blog-world sups :).

hey i totally agree with ur view that we should not judge others on basis of hear-say from others... that our judgment should be exclusive.

but when u read testimonials or blogs or any matter about a particular person, it shows what kind of relation that person shares with others. Definitely not in general, but u come to know a side of the person that may be hidden from u otherwise.

it is ppl's choice to accept whatever is written and judge the person, or to explore the person by themselves. n i agree, the latter is definitely better.

neways, reading ur blog made me wonder, why why did u choose this particular topic...

  4. hey....
well actually being judgemental is fun sumtimes
u hear stuff bout sumone nd see a completely diff picture wen u get to know d person(trust me...its a gud laugh wen that happens...man how much weird an impression can there be of the same person) nd u just get to know so much more bout both those ppl....thou dat is possible only if u keep the pre-formed bias at the BACK of ur mind(completely depends on how well u can do that)....
    u can keep challenging it....
nd dats the whole idea of communication....
uniqueness is a virtue that can never be generalised....if u r out of the box u will always remain!!!!!

  5. WELCOME to Blogging!!!!! cheater u didnt tell me u had a blog!!!
    nice first topic....

actually reading testimonials i feel does make a bias in the mind towards or against that person... and that bias may or may not be justified....

and i completely agree that scraps and testimonial and all do put a relationship out in the open which seems obscene.... especuially if its treasured and valued like friends.....

but blogging now is different.... blogging is supremely personal...i may opine about my friends but my equation with them remains outside this virtual world and so outta view....scraps and all is general talk and so open to scrutiny!!!
